A zafu is the meditation cushion customarily used in the Japanese Zen Buddhist tradition. Our zafus are made by us to our own design from strong 100% cotton drill filled with Organic Buckwheat Hulls.
The large zafu is ideal for the taller practitioner or anybody who needs an elevated sitting platform.
Our zafu design features a hidden pleat to allow the user to make adjustments to the firmness of the cushion by removing or adding the filling. The zafu can be easily cleaned and maintained in its pristine condition by occasionally brushing it down using a stiff brush dipped in lukewarm water. The zafu has an integral carrying handle and is easily portable (approx 3.45kg weight). Zafus are traditionally paired with a zabuton or textile flat mat.
